- Family Day (October 8, 2009)
Cambridge Makati’s Family Day was celebrated last October 8, 2009. Despite the change of the schedule, our parents took time off from their busy schedules and joined their children in playing the fun and competitive games prepared for them.
The yellow team, headed by Mr. Yao (Lawrence from Nursery 3) and Ms. De Castro (John’s mom from Kinder 2), were this year’s champions together with T. Jonah and T. Christine. Way to go everyone!
- Costume Party (October 23, 2009)
The Cambridge Makati children strut their way in school and the rest of Salcedo village in their favorite costumes. They came in wearing costumes from their countries or their favorite Halloween costumes… some brought 2 and changed after the program. Parents open their houses for the children and prepared goodies too! The children gave out loot bags of candies and goodies around the neighborhood! It was a great, fun way of teaching them sharing!
- Concert
“Cambridge Goes Around the World” was Cambridge Makati’s theme for their 2010 concert. The concert was held at the Victory Christian Fellowship centre in Robinsons Pioneer building. The children showed the parents the things they learned from school, during the last term of the year. Some children danced, some recited rhymes and poems by a famous author and some used sign language to convey their message. It was a sure hit to parents, families and guests. Way to go Cambridge kids!
- Fieldtrip
The annual field trip of Cambridge Makati was done at the ARK AVILON ZOO! It’s the first and only indoor zoo in the country today! The children saw a TIGER, PUMAS, ORANGUTANS, SUN BEARS, LIONS, CROCODILES, ARAPAIMAS, PEAFOWLS, HORNBILLS, GIANT TORTOISE and met
residents like JENNY the fashionable Orangutan; SELINA, the Albino Python; NARDA, the talkative Cockatoo; PUTI, the high flying Sea Eagle; GOLEM, the Donkey and BRUCE, the miniature Horse. They also fed rabbits and the guinea pigs! FUN! FUN! FUN! - Open house
Cambridge Makati opened its doors to its friends for the VALENTINE OPENHOUSE! It was an activity- filled day with parents, siblings and friends. Everyone enjoyed doing arts and crafts, face painting, glitter tattoo, music and movement and great food! A great bonding time for everyone! See you again next February!
- Christmas Party
A BLUE CHRISTMAS was celebrated in Cambridge Makati to join the holiday cheer. Teachers and students joined the party wearing blue dresses or shirts. The children received their special gifts from Mr. and Mrs. Santa after they danced along the holiday tunes. Everybody came home laughing Ho-ho-ho!
- Fathers’ day
The first party for the school year 2010-2011 set the mood for the rest of the school year. Cambridge Makati went “Wild, Wild, West” with the daddies, mommies, grandparents and brothers and sisters. They enjoyed a morning of (root) beer drinking contest, lasso throwing, face painting, relay games and danced together! Everyone enjoyed and feasted together with burgers, fries and chips! The merry-making made everyone look forward for the rest of the school year’s activities.
