Afternoon Enrichment Program for September to December, 2009
Mondays
MOOOve on down to the farm and jungle – and have a terrific time learning about the different creatures that inhabit our world alongside us. Alternately growling, purring and hissing, children will follow animal movements, pretend to live in their habitats, and do many more! Along the way as they revisit their nursery rhymes and songs, and in-depth understanding of the different wild and domestic animals is cultivated.
Tuesdays
Time to put on a show. In this program, children hone skills such as concentration, teamwork, improvisation, movement, and voice. Dramatics helps develop self-esteem, while teaching social cooperation and group interaction. In addition, it helps children understand that others are different from themselves and allows them to put themselves in other’s shoes. Let your child be “camera-shy” no more!
Wednesdays
Wiggling and moving are always fun things for children to do! Let your child enjoy the afternoon with this program – it is a wonderful way to build coordination and large motor skills. Aside from improving rhythm and balance, children develop
their flexibility and get the much-needed outlet to release
their creative energies.
Thursdays
Boost your child’s creative and critical-thinking skills. Young children need constructive ways to focus their energy – this program provides such an avenue. It also promotes imaginative and creative play and helps them understand the benefits of concentration and dedication to a certain task.
